Due to new requirements from shipping lines regarding hazardous cargo, there is a surcharge for hybrid and electric vehicles of $200, $400 from California and $2000 from Hawaii. The price is listed for cars loaded in a container with more than 2 cars where at least one is lifted. For premium loading with two cars loaded flat there is an additional charge of $350 from NJ and GA, $450 from TX and $650 from CA to avoid scratches or damage which is recommended for non-salvage and more expensive cars. For cars over 19ft there is a surcharge of $100 for every next foot. All vehicles are lifted, loaded and unloaded in by a forklift, if your car cannot be forklift you ship the car at your own risk.
